Deaf Disco Fever

"Kriya" will be making their debut in Southern California for the deaf and hard of hearing. Introducing the debut of a New Live Band

Party-goer Ian Portnoy, wowed by Kriyaïs performance, said, "I have always enjoyed listening to music. However, it's always been difficult for me to be able to understand the words to the music without having the words on paper in front of me. When I saw TL sign her songs, it was the first time in my life I completely understood the words to a brand new song exactly as it was meant to be written and played, let alone a whole album! There was no need for an interpreter, closed captions or a copy of the lyrics in front of me. It was an amazing, eye opening experience I believe every deaf/HOH person should experience, regardless of whether or not you benefit from a hearing aid. You must go see this performance. It is truly amazing. You will be shocked, delighted and surprised by what you see, feel and hear. You will experience emotions you never thought possible."

Rick Reiss Productions has been organizing Deaf Disco parties since 1979, drawing great bands, such as Kriya, and thousands of people from San Diego to San Francisco. On November 8 Rick Reiss Productions is hosting a Post Deaf Expo Dance Party in Long Beach. The party is in collaboration with Very True Television and promises to be a lively, fun and entertaining event featuring "live" sign songs and dance performances by California's deaf hip-hop/rap group, Loco Funk. There will also be a music video show.
