Personal Biography & Family Information
|
When I was a teenager, I became interested in history through reading. I loved to visit different countries and enjoyed seeing the old castles, towns, cities and farmland some of which I had only seen in books. My father’s family use to have large family reunions every Thanksgiving and Christmas, but as time has gone by many of the family members have passed away. My grandfather George T. Orrill’s family moved to Dayton, Ohio from Louisville, KY in 1899 when he was 13 years old. He married Loma E. Hawkins in 1906 and her family lived in Clermont County near Cincinnati, Ohio. They were interested in knowing about the Orrill family history. My father Robert E. Orrill has missed out on much of the family history search since his death on May 1, 1997. I have been heavily involved in family research and much of what I have found has come from the Archives of the Mormon Church. My mother Ruth passed away September 25, 2001. My husband Robert and I went to visit Paris, Rome, Athens and London in August of 1976 and my mother-in-law Simone Kimmel’s family lives in Paris. We regrettably missed seeing the Turton Tower of Orrell while we were in London, but we hope to get back there to see it. My first marriage was to James Edward Kelly, Sr. on 2 October 1965. We had two children together. James Edward Kelly, Jr. was born 26 July 1969 and Julia Christine Kelly was born 29 March 1972. James has three children Brittany, Brandon and Cody. My second marriage is to Robert Lee Kimmel. We were married 20 December 1975 and have two children. Jeremy Lee Kimmel was born 3 October 1979 and Jaclyn Lee Kimmel was born 23 October 1980. Jeremy has two children Jessica and Ashley. Because of her continued hard work & support of the Orrell Family Association, Judy was made an Honorary Charter Member in December 2001.
