Hi, I'm Rick Lukowicz, the webmaster and editor of ColoradoDeaf.com. ColoradoDeaf.com went live on October 2001 and since then we have been a big hit in the Colorado Deaf Community. It all started when a friend of mine and I decided that Colorado needs some kind of "Central-ization" for all deafies to post announcements and share info with others - and bring the community closer together. We've heard about activities/events AFTER they happened - which wasn't a good thing. Now I have talked with some people saying that they have never seen so many "activities" going on before ColoradoDeaf.com. came along.
About me, I'm a mid-30's guy married to Kristie and we have a 16 month old boy, Jared. I've always been into computers since my days at RIT. My very first computer was an Apple II, then Apple IIc. My first PC was an 8086, and I've owned everything from an 8086 to a Pentium 4 since then. I originally graduated from RIT/NTID with a degree in Engineering Technology, but after 5 years, I decided to make the love of computers a career for me. I went back to school and finished with a Computer Science degree and currently work as a Software Engineer for Gates Rubber Company. |
